Classes

Forever Strong is a live, virtual class that offers the senior population or anyone looking for an overall workout that is balanced and safe with all of the following: resistance training, balance training, core training, mind/body training, and stretching.  Taking this class three times per week will yield a full-body balanced workout load.  Modifications are offered for most exercises to accommodate any injuries or issues.  Each day class is offered, different equipment is used so as to challenge the body just a bit differently using the same muscle groups.  Equipment needs are minimal and substitute equipment ideas are plentiful.

Equipment needed:

 

1. Resistance band(s) with handles (try www.spri.com to find “the original Xertube" or search on Amazon)

2. A yoga or gym mat or area of your home that is carpeted and padded

3. A few sets of dumbbells - a set of light dumbbells, a set of medium dumbbells, and a heavy dumbbell (Target or Amazon)

4. A 7 or 8” pilates ball or “playground” ball (search Amazon or google “pilates ball” or find at Target)

5. Water bottle - have it filled before class

6. A chair

7. A streaming device
